Quickstart Checklist

This article is a one-page summary to get you up and running

1. Set Up Account

  1. Log in to the Optiweigh web portal at client.optiweigh.io
  2. Set up logins for other team members

2. Assemble and Inspect

  1. Bolt on wheels and towbar if required
  2. Switch power on - check all lights are green

3. Connect with the Optiweigh App and Check Weight

  1. Open the app and connect to the Optiweigh unit's WiFi
  2. Zero the weigh bars and check the weighing is correct by standing on the platform

4. Take it to the Animals

  1. Set the drawbar and use the ratchet jacks to lower the wheels
    Tow carefully - especially over rough ground
  2. Set up on level ground with the solar panel facing north in a spot where animals congregate

5. Put Attractant in the Tub

  1. Usually something with a sweet smell that the animals like
  2. For loose licks, place the limiter on top
  3. For more detailed instructions: Attracting Animals

6. Set it up for the Size of the Animals

  1. Adjust the placement of the lick tub so animals can reach
  2. Use one or two force panels to reduce the width for smaller animals

7. Set up a Weighing Session

  1. Use either the app or the web portal
  2. Enter session name and mob description
  3. Set the start time (can be back-dated)

8. Get your Data

  1. Use the app or web portal - both will update throughout the day
  2. The web portal contains individual animal data
